US Has Their Own War At Home

INTERNATIONAL: U.S. President Joe Biden asked Americans to stand up to the gun lobby and pressure members of Congress to pass sensible gun laws after the killing of at least 19 children and 2 adults in a Texas school shooting on Tuesday 24th May. We are still waiting for official count.

The carnage began with the 18-year-old suspect, identified as Salvador Ramos, shooting his own grandmother, who survived, authorities said.

He fled that scene and crashed his car near the Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, a town about 80 miles (130 km) west of San Antonio. There he launched a bloody rampage that ended when he was killed, apparently shot by police.

The latest bout of gun-fueled mass killings in the United States and the nation's worst school shooting in nearly a decade. The motive was not immediately clear.

Texas governor called the school shooting that killed 18 children and one adult on Tuesday 24th May a 'senseless crime'.

"Enough is enough". U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris called for "courage to take action" in the aftermath of the Texas school shooting.

"Mr. President, 14 kids dead in an elementary school in Texas right now. What are we doing? Senator Chris Murphy asks, before the latest count was revealed.

"I'm here on this floor to beg, to literally get down on my hands and knees and beg my colleagues: find a path forward here. Work with us to find a way to pass laws that make this less likely," Murphy said in a fiery floor speech.

A father of a 10-year-old said he had been waiting for hours for a status update on his daughter, who was inside her Texas elementary school.

Alfred Garza said he has not received any information about whether his daughter, Amy Joe, was injured or killed in the attack.

"We can't get anything... are they okay? Are they not okay? We're still waiting," Garza said.

Garza and dozens of families of other students waited at the civic center in Uvalde, Texas the designated reunification point for those impacted in the shooting at Robb Elementary school.

So many people have called out for the stoppage of America’s own war on itself. Cries have come out from all over the United States when will this stop when will we stand up to the gun lobbyists.

Americans need to start looking what’s happing in their own country instead of advising about other countries and their wars, they need to put an end to their own mass murdering, follow suit of other countries that have tighten gun laws.

U.S. President Joe Biden asked Americans to stand up to the gun lobby and pressure members of Congress to pass sensible gun laws.

"We have to act," he said and suggested reinstating the assault weapons ban and other "common sense gun laws."

Biden ordered the flags at the White House and at U.S. federal and public buildings to be flown at half-staff until sunset on May 28.
